Re: Buildism : online building game

Looks like an interesting game-making program!  It seems to be free.  From the main interface, I can't find out who is developing it though, which is kind of weird.  From the forums, it seems to be the work of one person named Jacob who gets very defensive if you say that Buildism is a copy of other building systems.

To be fair, the users that say Buildism is a copy of other websites come from ROBLOX, which is another game creation tool. They organized a raid on us last month, which filled up the forums with spam threads and nearly crashed the server... since then, the other mods and I have tried to explain to these ROBLOX users why they are wrong, because if not they will probably go back to the ROBLOX forums and complain about Buildism, which drags in more flamers and spammers.

Interestingly, ROBLOX is the only building system we are accused of copying, even though there are lots of game creation tools out there, and ROBLOX and Buildism aren't the only ones that use Lua.

Just felt the need to point that out since this thread is on the first page of google results for "buildism."
