This is my opinion on Scratch being used to discuss dating and such. Please remember it as that.
Please, Scratch is not for dating and relationships. I like what 12three said

And so, please follow that Quote. And personally, I don't want the world wide web to know what my private life is like. Soo... There are two reasons why not to post these topics. Oh! And a third. They annoy me -_- So that is my opinion on it.

Yes, I wouldn't recommend anyone going on a date anyways! I told someone not too, but everyone else pressured her.

You don't have to read them. Also apparently it is exactly what Miscellaneous is for and the real description of the forum is a lie

People can do as they wish, rabbit.

Why on earth is it wrong to date?

When you are too young. Should a kid who is 13 or 14 be going on a date? No in my opinion. I'm worried this will turn into flaimbait. Please, keep it friendly or I will have to close the thread.

It isn't the age, its the maturity, ask your parents when you think your ready, they'll tell you, if your mind is set on "I'm old enough" or "I'm mature enough" You probably aren't.

i'm 14 and most of the kids in my school have dated. Including me.
( I failed)
People can do whatever they want and it's not up to you to tell them otherwise.

This is my opinion. As I have stated. Do whatever you want.

Okay
Nah just kidding, it'd take me hours to type all that up (and that's just the names)

I would have to agree, it is actually inappropriate to post about dating on scratch. There are younger users who use forums.

You have a point there.

And when they ask, I tell the my opinion, I have just as much right to say they shouldn't as you should to say they SHOULD! When people ask, they don't want to hear only yes.

May I ask, what do you believe is the point of dating? Marriage? Just for fun? Honestly, I want to know what you think.

Your opinion doesn't make it so, Rab. It is completely respectable to take the girl you like to the movies.

I don't mind them but here's a few reasons why not to date/post about it on Scratch:
-I don't care what you say about your 'maturity' level. If you're dating for a reason other than marriage, you're not mature enough. Some might disagree with this, but isn't that what dating is supposed to be about? If it's just for getting to know someone better, why is it such a "big deal"? There's no reason to call it something special.
-Another thing on the maturity issue: I'm sixteen and I don't think I'm mature enough for dating. Not because I don't think I'm mature, but I don't think that at this age I can look at a girl and honestly think I would want to date her because I would eventually want to marry her.
-Scratchers, no offense at all, are not relationship experts. Most have not dated before, and even if they have, they're still a little young to give dating advice. Plus, we're on Scratch for a reason: we like Scratch, which makes us at least a little nerdy which again means we're not exactly relationship experts.

To be honest, most of the Miscellaneous Forum is inappropriate for scratch and not following its own guidelines but nobody ever seems to do anything about it.
