I agree. I do make Justin Beiber jokes, but its over his singing. I'm sure he has a good personality if i met him.

I am only jealous of one thing. Not his talent, but his all girl crowd :3

These days, looks matter more than singing abilities. Look at JB for example. Simply because teen girls are drawn by looks, not singing. And of course that leads to... *cough*--money sad

Not only is that statistic made up and very inaccurate, it is also offensive. Rap is real music, just because it is not to your tastes does not make it less of a musical form. I would advise getting rid of it, not only because it is disrespectful, it is basically chain mail as well.

I've seen that sig around here a lot - and this is the first time I've seen it challenged.

I also question the accuracy of the statistic - there is no source mentioned for starters. And 92% seems very high - I think if we took a poll here, for instance, we would find that teens that favored Rap over all other forms of music would be much lower.

But the important question is - is it offensive? It is clearly putting down an entire genre of music by claiming that it is not "real" so I would say that, yes, it has the potential to offend people that make and enjoy Rap music.

However, I'm not really sure how this discussion relates to the topic so maybe we should see if we can get back on track smile
