I liked in the second one how he told everyone you shouldn't hate him, he is a normal boy like... if your a boy, you and me. He shouldn't be attacked by girls either! I believe he has a good voice (sorta), great guitarist, and better at the drums at the age of three as I ever will be!

I just don't think this is fair. Other famous people out there have been famous for decades and still don't have a movie. Suddenly, this guy comes up and gets one? He's like what? 16 years old and hasn't fully experienced life yet? Yeah, maybe if he were 10 years older or at least an adult, a movie would make sense, but seriously Jon Chu? He's the director. I honestly don't think, in the right mind, that they should give a film to someone who was just recently famous. 2007? 2008? Who cares!
That's just my opinion, so you JB fans better not get offended. I think it's just a lame attempt at cashing in on a bunch of fan girls. Sadly...
I think it worked.

He's a cash cow, of course they would make a movie about him.

Well, in actuality it’s not that he’s suddenly become worthy of a movie made about himself, although that’s what the film makers expect you to believe, it’s really just a marketing scheme. The reason that they made the film now, and not in 50 years, was the film makers assumed this is the time they would make the most money off of it. I mean, just look at some statistics of the film, the budget was only $18,000,000 and it grossed just under, $100,000,000; that’s a huge a amount for such low budget film. Also they can make money off of merchandise and, although he didn’t really need it, it was a big boost for Beiber’s career.
So ya, I don’t think it’s a matter of fairness, as I said before, it’s not like he just became worthy of a movie, it was just a big money maker.
BTW, just to make myself clear, I do not hate Justin Beiber. I think he’s a great kid with an inspirational story, and a good role model for his fans compared to most of today’s superstar singers.

Not even two years. He released his first album in November 2009, and he gets his own movie in February 2011.
I mean, what is this? Many incredibly talented people have worked for decades to get to where he is now, and he gets a movie within 15 months of his first album? What?

I heard one of them. I wouldn't buy it anytime soon, but it was bearable. Too bad he's more famous for his teeny-bopper songs.

Maybe because people are willing to throw money his direction just for existing? After all, that's what 2000s pop is all about.
Berry122 wrote:

To dislike and flame him in the comments, mostly.
Berry122 wrote:
I think he deserves a film, he's talanted and has worked really hard to get to where he is.
TBH, I don't see how he did any work. A famous musician accidentally discovered him on YouTube and got him a record contract without so much as batting an eye. Seems more like luck to me.

If you have thousands of girls worldwide obsessing about your appearance, it's actually quite easy.

I know. That's also what I'm trying to point out. Read before you type...
Also, I'm not talking about fairness. That's not my main point. I just don't think they should make a movie about him because, like you said, it's a marketing scheme. Unless you're making a movie that has meaning and is not just for the money, then it's okay. However, I still hate Justine Beaver...

Gone are the days with people who had actual talent. Now, it's just a bunch of auto-tunes and digital edits. There really is no such things as real music anymore. Just a bunch of luck and people with no talent suddenly becoming famous for unknown reasons. For example, Miley Cyrus doesn't really sound like what you hear in her music videos and shows. She actually sounds like a goat in real life. Her voice was only fixed with computers. Kinda ticks me off. Not that I like her or anything, that's just an example. In fact, I hate her to the heck. Where did the real talent go, guys?!
Everyone's getting famous for no reason now!
What the heck?!

Ya, I totally agree. I wasn’t implying that I agree with the film makers motives behind the film. I believe that film should be made solely for entertainment not, propaganda lol. I think the best movies are the one that you walk away from feeling glad that you watched it, a movie with a message that leave you thinking. A hollow ‘made for the money’ movie is not something that I agree with or would want to see.

Justin bieber does not sing good, and all of his fans are girls who thinks that he looks hot. IDK how they can stand his singing at all.
I should start a boycott of autotune.
@earthboundjeff: I do not hate his music specifically. I do dislike it. But what I really dislike what music like this has done to my beloved metal. Now, if you asked someone at my school who AC/DC or Guns 'n Roses are, they would be clueless. Let me explain:
young people liking pop=young people not liking metal=no demand for metal in young people=no more metal bands will be signed because the demand will die out.
I can't spend my entire life listening to records made 30 years before I was born.
I know what you mean. (I like more hard rock, but Guns 'N' Roses and AC/DC are awesome).

I dislike most pop. I prefer rock/alternative/old rock. Pop is pretty much dead. No, not completely dead, Adam Lambert is proof of that.

Unanswered mysteries? She got that many views because of some Tosh.0 blog. After that, it became famous because everyone hated it.
