Mouse down sensing is working online but not on Scratch on the PC

My daughter wants to make a drawing project where a line is drawn by the sprite following the mouse while the mouse button is held down.  We looked at some other projects, and they worked online and when we download them.  But when we use the exact same script it won't work, or it works only some of the time.
I tried making my own project--it wouldn't work on my PC, but when I uploaded it, it worked online.  http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/Obermom/1788596

Not sure what is going on.

Try clicking the button that looks like an easel in the top-right of the screen. The display area will go full-screen, and I'm pretty sure your project will work.

See http://wiki.scratch.mit.edu/wiki/Presentation_Mode.

Hope this helps!  wink
