I've reinstalled Scratch several times, and for some reason, it keeps doing the same thing. Whenever I start Scratch, it starts with one of my projects in presentation mode. It all started when I pressed Alt+F4 while my project was in presentation mode. Now, it seems stuck on that project whenever I start Scratch again. Also, I cannot open projects that I've downloaded by just double-clicking on them. It always asks for the image, and when i click the image, Scratch does not open the project. Does anyone know why either of these problems are happening?

I don't know why, but I would try the following steps:
Open Scratch.
Close out of presentation mode.
Then press Alt+F4.
If this doesn't work, I'd have to think about it more.

sorry, that didn't work . . . another bit of info, the project always starts and it appears the green flag has already been clicked.

Try exiting full screen mode, and starting a new project. Then Shift-click the loop of the R in the Scratch logo (in the upper left corner) and click "Save image for end user". When the confirmation dialog pops up, click "Yes".

This happened to me. I cant remember how I fixed it, but I remember what it was. Windows had for some reason set it to start like yours. Its not Scratch's problem it is you PC.

Still having issues with opening a project directly to scratch though. I think it has to do with setting the default program that opens a specific file format.
Hm... I seem to remember having that problem with Windows XP, but I don't remember what I did to solve it. Have you tried associating .sb files with scratch.exe?
