Nintendo has officially announced that they will be unveiling a new console at the E3 convention this July. So what are you gonna do? A) Keep bashing Waluigi in Mario Kart, keep foiling Dr. Eggman's evil schemes in Sonic colors, keep feeling the beat in Dance Dance Revolution, keep workin out till you burst in Wii Fit? B) Or throw it all out for a brand new experience (possibly in HD
) with new and exiting adventures for years to come? Choose for yourself ;D

Personal answer: B

I would keep my Ps3.

Swap out the Wii for a black Wii. It's the only white electrontic thing in our entertainment center, and stands out. Choice "A" in other words.
I dont have much faith in Café. Sony and Microsoft beat them to the punch, and they seriously need to work harder with their online stuff. It's quite backwards compared to what we have now on other systems.

@blazerv82 Will you be able to keep your files? And if you do switch to a black wii get those wiimote pluses.
*Grabs SD card* Yeah, all set. And we also already have 2 of them. The attachable ones, for Wii Sports Resort.
We probably will rid of our Wii instead, as we never do play it. Now, if I had my copy of ExciteTruck again...

You do realise that Wii games will almost certainly be playable with the new console. The Wii was based off the GameCube so it can play GameCube games. If this new console isn't based of the Wii, they'll probably use built-in emulation, like the PS3 and 360. So, what I'd do is this: keep my Wii. Then, after about 5 months after the release, buy it when it's cheaper. I am not going to pay over £220 (most probable price) for a new HD console, since I already have one of those which I saved up and bought for £150. So yeah - Sonic Colours will always be playable no matter what to me
But I'm not sure if this new console will support GameCube games. If this is true, then goodbye Sonic Adventure 2 Battle

Yes, Wii Games will be playable on it. Sadly, Gamecube games probably won't which........ doesn't affect me at all, because I never had a Gamecube.
But still, you might get lucky, and Nintendo may do the same as Sony (the PS3 supports PS2 and original PS games) did.
I have started to lose hope in Nintendo. Their recent consoles and handheld really haven't had much power under the hood (or shell
), so I am probably going to wait until all the next-gen consoles come out, and I will decide if I will go for the "Xbox 720", "PS4", "Wii HD", or none at all. Until then, I will stick to pwning my family at Mario Kart, and carrying around Potato Caroli.....uh, GLaDOS in Portal 2.

Yeah. I do agree with you. I just found this video on YT: it's going to be more powerful than the 360 AND PS3! And the PS3 is deadly powerful!!! Video!

That is saying that a 2011/2012 console is more powerful than a 2006 console. Doesn't really say much. But in that video, they said the release-day price will be in between $350-400, which gets my hopes up, because on launch day, the Wii was $299. Maybe we will get some of the long unused Nintendo Power from the days of the SNES and N64.

Wait to see what they release, then wait a year and decide if I should get it or not. I'm to cheap to buy things when they come out.
