~Scratch Writers~

I have a dream.... ok corny start... How about.... "Wind howled through the night, carrying a scent that would change the world."?

Anyway, this thread is to tell Scratchers about an idea I had. I want to create a community of writers on Scratch who will read and review other's stories on Scratch. I am planning on posting more of my stories, but not many people read them and I have a feeling others have posted stories as well, but not gotten as much attention as their other projects as well. If writers on Scratch knew who other writers are, then they would be able to read and review other's stories and get theirs read and reviewed in return! If you are a writer on Scratch, post here and I'll add your name to the list.

Re: ~Scratch Writers~

I'll do it, I'm not a professional but best in my class, and family, and possibly school. I do have some stories that would be nice to have people review. Nice dream. XD I like this idea.

If you are reading this, please read to the end, because if you don't you won't know what's at the end. Don't just skip to the end though otherwise you won't be able to read the middle, which is most important. Now you must be wondering why you just read all that, the reason is you may have not noticed something, read it again and see if you notice it this time  smile

Re: ~Scratch Writers~

I can help reel in some more people, I saw someone once that wrote screenscript, I do all sorts of writing, the thing is, when you write screen-script, its hard to go back, you'll start typing things in a weird way, like, so and so stops. WHAT? I must mean so and so stopPED. Also it wont be as good for a while. Just warning you.

Re: ~Scratch Writers~

Awesome  big_smile  I would update the list, but I'm still a NS so I can't yet  tongue  If you want to start having people review any stories you've written, upload them as projects, and add them to the Scratch Writers: Stories to be Reviewed! gallery. So far, we only have part 1 of my Pendragon/Eragon crossover to be read (with part 2 on it's way soon  smile  )

We also could collab on stories too  smile  Like I'm planning on writing an Eragon: The Musical. we could find people to sing songs or something  lol

I know that maybe not a lot of people know this, but you can copy and paste text in the Scratch paint editor. Copy it from whatever document the story is in, open the editor, select the text tool, and then press ctrl and then v, it will paste whatever you have copied. So you don't have to retype everything!  wink

It is actually petter to put it on a list, that way you can have the scrooling, just paste your document or story on a .txt file, then on a list on scratch, left click it, then click import, and click your text file.
Note: you can also paste it onto a single item of a list, but this will be only one item, the other way automatically will make a new item if you have a enter (or a new paragraph :P)

Using this topic means not being able to have all of the links to stories on the top of the page, if there were a new scratcher they couldn't edit the story. But you can always upload a new project.  smile  Though other than the new scratchers, we can use time stamps. They link to a post. I have a story I could put on... but it isn't finished and some may kill me when I stop at a cliffhanger, because I haven't finished the paragraph.

you would have to estimate how much to copy onto each slide/background... or use the list idea! I didn't know about that Pecola1!

Do you like, or dislike my idea? Or do you just not know what I am talking about? It is very simple, I could upload on, or find someone ho made one to show you what it looks like.

I like the idea and I think i know how to do this, but a project on it would be nice to show us how to do that  smile  I'm gonna stick with slides (aka backgrounds) with my story just because I need the different fonts to represent the different POVs
