If you like the Vashta Nerada, then maybe you should write about them. Write about your favourite monster, basically. You could set the story on a space ship with the Vashta, or on earth (maybe using my previous suggestion).

You might want to look for enemies from the old series, such as Omega, or the Cybermats.
