http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

Re: I am back.

Some famous writer said this; "Don't let school interfere with your education", I thoroughly agree!

Re: I am back.

That is a good point Llamalover. Actually, one of the goals of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group (creators of Scratch) is to influence schools so it doesn't have to be boring and get on the way of your education.

It's a very difficult problem because most people, including teachers and students, think that school is all about transferring knowledge from the teacher to the students. They think it's mostly about memorizing facts, data and formulas.

And even when computers are used in the classroom, most of the time is just using the computer only  to deliver information, not to create anything.

We think that school should be a place where people come together to work on creating, designing and inventing things that are meaningful to each person.

We hope Scratch is used in school for that purpose and we are glad that people like you are actually finding learning fun and engaging.

Wow, that was a long message :-)

Re: I am back.

I agree-Scratch should be in more schools. Like mine - I should tell my teachers/principle about it!
