Almost every time I visit the home page I see at least 1 of these things under most recent with names like this: S2U4L19P2. Upon closer inspection of the users profile, I find about 20 pages of similar projects. There are like 10 users doing this. What new, horrible spambot has entered the scratch world?!

I looked into that, but think about it. I mean, 500 scratch users all of which create 50 projects each, all of which appear to be a scratch cat with a "When flag clicked forever (Random block inserted here)"

It's usually a whole class in South Korea or one of those other Asian countries that did a project, with each one usually very similar to the other, and then the teacher had them be uploaded all at the same time.

Certainly! But, in the future, we'll find it faster if you reported the topic.
