Isometric is based on tiles in the following shape: http://i56.tinypic.com/2ziym4n.png
Isometric would mean it'd be much easier to program, the program would run quicker, but rotation of angles other than 90 degrees is impossible.
sure lets do that, MC looks like that anyways.
You can edit now and make the sprite look something like that.

I might be able to help. Since I have 7zip, I can extract the textures and art needed from the minecraft.jar file. I will try and help with maybe some glitchfixing and some programming, but I am working on a Minecraft of my own. P.S. I hope Scratch 2.0 has a bigger, or unlimited, upload limit. A big minecraft project, even more 3D, would be past 10 Megabytes (mb).

How about this: make all things function in a 'pixel' grid. What I mean is do maybe some math, simple though, and figure out what the smallest square for 3D would be needed. Plus, in Scratch 2.0, cloning will be added. So, you can make a block sprite, have it different costumes of different widths and stretches, and programming will take care of angle and stuff. Get someone to do math for x, y, coordinates and someone for stretch and size based 'z' coordinate variables. ('z' is the coordinate for distance away in 3D games)

Hi. I notice there are no people in ai, so I'd love to do that.
So would I.

Here's a suggestion...
If each corner of a block had [x, y and z] coods, then in theory when we go closer to a block, the points will move outwards, if we go to the left of it, they would move right, if we move to the right of it, they move move left, up -> down, down -> up. Visulise it! Now all you need is a way of making panes by joining the points

I'm afraid this topic is old and dead - it hasn't been posted on by the original poster in over a year. It's a good idea to check the dates on the posts to see if a topic is still active before posting on it
