I think we should be able to make 2 text boxes. This would make it easier for things like cartoons that need more than one text box. I also think that we should be able to have multi-sized/font text boxes.

And for now, just export and import the costume.
If you're too lazy to do that, wait. And hope. Maybe wait too. You should also hope.
what about aligning right, left, center or justify? those are important.

I'm not sure what you're trying to point out here, could you explain it to me a bit more in-depth?

@clone comando:sure. when you go to edit or make a sprite or backround and click the T, it should make it so you could have more than one text box and/or let you have more than one font/size in one text box and/or let you use the align left, right, center and maybe even justify and/ or let you use bold ext, undrelined text and italized text.
@upstairs:wow. rage?

You could make your comics or drawings on another paint program thingy and then import it in to scratch.

Sounds good. I have had to save a screen-shot and then write the extra text whenever I have to have 2 fonts on one sprite (such as on my latest game). This would be great. I fully support this idea.

waste of time, use MS Paint or GIMP for it.
that's an even more waste of time
True, using those is if you want quality sprites.
Just remember, Scratch paint editor isn't supposed to be able to replace photoshop...
It's just something basic. You're lucky enough that there's even a paint editor included.
Many programming languages like scratch require to choose from a given library or import your own.

name 5 programs that do that
Small Basic
ALICE
Greenfoot
Batch
F#
Those are starter languages to transition into real-time, like Scratch.
