Player Speed

I was thinking, would it be possible to, like in flash with Frames per second, have a blocks per second tool, that also works online. this could increase the speed at which it is now to acomadate 3d related projects, but still have settings slow enough for people to begin programing.

Heh heh, I am pretty sure that the scratch player is set to go at a certain speed for a reason. I don't think it is possible for the scratch team to turn scratch into a 3D game program. Scratch is slow, dead slow. Flash is several times faster than scratch and it is really hard for flash to process 3D models.

I wish it would be that easy to make scratch go faster.

Trust me, flash isn't confusing. It just requires you to learn a little bit of stuff then you are on your way. Java and c/c++ are much more difficult.

Go to the page with my flash tutorial and look at the links of the bottom of the page for useful sites that will teach you everything you will need to know.

Scratch is fun, but it is actually harder to make professional looking programs with it is than with flash or java. I think that once you feel that scratch is holding you back then it is time to try another language. It will require hard work and dedication to get good at text based programming (except for flash, but even that takes a little effort to learn).
