What is this? I don't get how you can respect someone you don't know. So no, to be honest, I don't respect anyone here more than I would for any random person I didn't know.

You have made a good point. But then again, wouldn't you respect someone you didn't know because of the good impact they've had on their life? Politics, for example. One person would respect Candidate A because the person likes what Candidate A is doing.

In a way, you more or less do know people here. They aren't random strangers, you're acquainted with them every day, even if not physically. You can respect these people on that basis, or based on your impressions of them from the collective information you've gained from them. What I don't get is why you don't get this.
