That's a weird one! I'm going to guess that it's related to the size of your color picker costume...it's full screen and the Java player seems to have trouble with larger images. But that's weird the way the color picker gets revealed as you work the mouse over it!

Looks like it is related to the other problem you had with your color picker.

I wonder if the clear graphic effects block in the Java version causes some secondary graphic routine processing that is not complete by the time your script switches to the full screen costume.
