Hi all, I was at school, and realized a method for doing 3D with movement using scratch. Each object has it's own XYZ, and the player has XYZ too. it then renders the blocks based on their distance from you. I've started working on it. I want to make a game based on Minecraft using this. I need people to help program, one person for sounds, and artists.
If you can help with, please do!
Programmers (general)
-Gbear605
-Bbbeb
-Floppy-Gunk
-Taneb
-Builderdd
-Werdna123 (possibly)
-WulfMaster/SSSS
-eclown
Programmers (ai)
Sounds
-Technoguyx
Artists
-Diadaros/Methar Quixid (possibly)
-iNetMaster

Sure.
I'll make a gallery for this now.

Sorry, but this method of 3D is a poor way of doing things. That's not to say you can't do 3D, just that there are better ways of doing it.

This is a great idea, but the blocks jut need to render faster, or you need to make movement slower. Interesting idea, though!

I'm thinking of using the usual stamping method, in a slightly differetn way.
@techno sure!

What Scratch needs is a perspective transform block.
Can't perspective be done through some math and sprite resizing? I'm not really into that stuff (I fail at math and I'm not into advanced programming like this), but I'm pretty sure it can be done that way.

Okay, I guess I'll help with some art and sounds

I might help however, I would need to you to try and explain the method you plan on using. If it uses the pen (which I assume it will), it will probably be very slow.

I'm thinking just use the stamp method.

Can I join? Programming mob ai would be alright for me I suppose. If yes, message one of my projects and tell me what to do
You can join. You don't have anything to work on yet though.
