If I can't:
*Run 3DS games with a WPA router
*Play my DSi ware i bought
*not play in 3d
*play DS games (i wish i could still play GBA games- I miss Metroid Fusion)
I probably won't get it. Ever.
-All 3DS games + DSiWare software support higher security types, including DSi enhanced games such as Pokémon Black and White.
-You can play your DSiWare games you bought on a DSi or DSi XL by transferring them, however this is not available yet and will come in a later update (this update is CONFIRMED by nintendo).
-You can play in 3D or no 3D, whichever you choose. Remember not everything is in 3D.
(don't play too long at once, take some breaks of 3D)
-You can play your DS games, but to play the GBA games, get a real GBA(SP) or a DS lite.

I'm thinking about the 3DS as well, because I like the thing where you can make Miis on the thing, but can't you get that at the App store or DSI shop or whatever anyway?
@rufflebee: My birthday was last month.
And to everyone who was skeptical about me finding one for cheaper: I found one. XD it's a black Dsi, and I also found a black 3DS for the same price, but the 3D won't matter because I only have DS lite games. URGH! UNCERTAINTY SUCKS.
Oh yeah. BUMP!

And the 3DS doesn't hurt your eyes, unless you play for a really long time.
...But you can turn it off, and it won't matter to me anyway because I only have 2D games! I have a couple questions for someone who owns the thing: What does the new little analog circle thing do? And is the main menu 3D? And what's in the box when you buy it?
I can't believe how I'm asking this. I usually do my homework on these things before I get them...

I got mine for my birthday.
I have a pink DSi.
It's awesome except for the color. My old DS Lite was red, and the hinge broke on it, but I got it fixed before giving it away. And I can say this - the DSi is MUCH better than the DS Lite. CAMERAS! FLIPNOTE! YAAAAY!

DS originals are really cheap, and they're the best.

The analog thing is a control stick. The main menu's in 3D if you have 3D on.

Well:
1) The analog circle thing is like a joystick on a normal controller, except it's flat and "glides" around rather than rolling. It works really well in-game, though, and is incredibly more accurate than just using the control pad.
2) Yes, the main menu is 3D. Even the menu items look cool! It doesn't change all that much, though.
3) In the box you get the system itself, a thick multi-language instruction book, a charger, cards for the built in AR games (seriously, look that up - it's the coolest thing ever) and a charging station.
Addressing your earlier question, there's no Mii maker at all on the DSi, not even through DSiWare.

My birthday is getting close, and I'm gonna get the black 3DS.
Don't get the DS lite (it's close to cancellation, GameStop stopped accepting them) or the DSi (unless you're on a budget), the 3DS can do everything those can except play GBA games. The 3DS is compatible with all the DSi software (but i think not flipnote studio because a 3DS-specific one could be coming) and will have its own virtual console of GameBoy and GameBoy Color games. And the 3D is really worth it, I tried it. Just don't show it to kids that are 6 and under.

He's been brainwashed.
They're cheap, clunky, no DC, not 3D, bad online, bad main menu, no mii's, no built in content, only DS games (DSi or 3DS exclusives are out).
Wait, why do you even think they're the best? XD

I found a black 3DS on eBay for 100 bucks. *victory dance*

Hmm...
I wouldnt know, but if Im lucky, Ill win animation11 and use the vouchers on 3DS, making it free, leaving me with £20's worth.
Anyway, if you're in UK, enter next year as GROUP.

I'm getting a 3DS, I just have to make sure with my dad that I can use his eBay account. The guy whose selling the 3ds has 100% positive feedback, and I did my homework on the 3DS. The streetspot thing is really awesome! If I go to New York, I'll have like millions of Miis in my Plaza, especially if I go to the World Nintendo store XD

A new drawback in one word: Upgrading.
Is Nintendo gonna make new software for the 3DS and put it into a whole new device? Or can you just get the new software in your current 3DS?
