Does Scratch support WAV sound file format?

Ah, just to let you know, not all WAV formats are supported.
Make sure the WAV format of the file is an uncompressed Windows PCM WAV file. Most sound file convertors are capable of changing the file format into the aforementioned file type.

Not sure about the Mac issue. But in case that it doesn't work, you can opt to convert the file into an MP3 (preferably at a lot bitrate is possible) instead since Scratch is also capable importing most MP3's with few exceptions.

I tried that. It didn't work. It still treated it as a WAV file.
But, I just recorded the sound by playing it on the desktop while scratch was recording.
It actually works!
