That's strange... is it over the size limit? If its over the size limit or really big (say 9.80 Mb for example) it will take more time to load if you don't compress it.
RANDOM THOUGHT: If the tomato is a fruit, doesn't that make ketchup a smoothie?

Compress everything (compression controls are in the edit menu), and try again. If it still does not work, restart your computer. If it still doesn't work, re-install scratch. If it still does not work, check if you can access the internet. If so, than I have no idea. If not, hook yourself up to the internet. If you are hooked up, but cannot access the internet, reset your router. Hope this helps, and scratch on!
