For the android, you can just use the flash player. But you can not access the keyboard.
I should have added that once 2.0 comes out, it would work on Android.

The 3ds is out but doesn't have the 3DSshop yet so it may be a while before it can come out.

i may have said this before but it is could be possible to play projects on the iphone if there was an integrated keyboard along with the website and an html5 support to the project viewer
maybe if you click the project it goes into a popup that gives a keyboard and is full screen

There could be a simple project project viewer for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
Basically, every programmer could mark their projects as "iPhone compatible", and then when you downloaded the app, you could go online, and browse all the projects marked as "iPhone compatible".
great idea but you wouldnt even need an app if scratch were html5 compatible

Just one setback though guys... I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but if using scratch on the iPod, what would you use for letter or numbered keys? like for example if a project had the script when key space pressed...? would there be a keyboard on the project player or something? how would that work. sorry if this has already been mentioned.

Scratch 2.0 will let you use scratch on your phone! It runs in your browser using flash so as long as you have an android 2.2 or above phone you can have a mobile scratch!!!

I think this a good idea to have Scratch on some common portable devices

Scratch will be easy to view if you have Android (Flash support). Unforunnately, my iPad doesnt support Java OR Flash...
However, it shouldn't be hard to make Scratch into an iPhone app, since we have Squeak for the iPhone (and I think Android)

3D won't be happening.
I agree: Scratch was meant to be simple and useful, and 3D destroys that completely, especially given that Scratch uses tumultuous amounts of processing power and 3D wouldn't help with the reduction.
(a) 3ds!! Y@@y d@ @nswer

why not?
Why not what? If you meant why not 3D, it's because Scratch takes up a lot of computer space and memory, and it will probably crash frequently like that. Besides, if you need something in 3D you could use Blender or some other 3D graphics engine.
If you meant "Why not we have Scratch on portable devices?" I agree with you.

you could just play the games and use internet connection to connect to a PC or mac and play games on the scratch program. have it for apple's I phones and I pads with a key board showing.also on phones with built in keyboards for the keys. for the mouse just tap the screen. also for the 3DS that would be cool scratch in 3D! same with the key board to play games 3D sprites stay in 3D at all times.

The first sentence didn't really make sense (same with the second) but Scratch for the 3DS sounds cool

I think it we would be cool to have Scratch on some common portable devices. Scratch is made in squeak, a very cross-platform programming environment.
You just need a VM, you have:
Squeak for Windows Mobile
Squeak for Iphone (iSqueak)
Squeak for Nintendo DS

Now we still need a portable scratch application. Scratch 1.4 works kind of, but it is designed for normal PC's and thus not ideal. It consumes way too much memory for use on resource-limited devices.
What would a portable Scratch app look like?
Should it allow you to create Scratch projects, or just play them?
I already managed to play Scratch projects on a Windows Mobile Phone, it's really cool and I think this idea has a lot of potential.
Please post what you think!

Which is what Go Everywhere is doing.
