You heard me right, the United States government has killed Osama Bin Laden, and have captured his body after a classified operation. No soldiers were hurt, neither were any civilians.

Uh. I thought we can't talk about politics for some reason.
Politics often leads to flaming so the Guidelines for the Miscellaneous forum do forbid political topics. We'll try leaving this open as long as it remains respectful and not overly graphic.
The violent death of anyone is not usually a reason to celebrate. But given that Osama Bin Laden was the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks, I can hope that his death will ultimately lead to a more peaceful world. Time will tell.

Well, I would share my opinion, but since I'm a 911 truth movement person, it would erupt into a flame war.

Ahhhhh...one more step toward world peace.

Greatful I am to those Navy SEALS who got him. The 9/11 attacks weren't pretty...

If you think about it, it's another step towards peace and another back away from it. Arguably, killing Osama is one step towards peace, but this may just anger Al Quaeda, Taliban and Islamic Fundamentalists enough to want revenge, which may come in the form of more terrorist attacks. And Al Quaeda already have a new leader, so...

Wow, so it is no joke... After all these years.
Watched the BBC Special Report, they cancelled a show to fit it in -_-
It's all true... and good too! I saw the footage of the Twin Towers bombing, and all the loss of innocent lives.
And the woman that committed suicide on camera, as she jumped from the building!
Peace out.

I just hope no one rises to take his place...amazing there were no casualties, but I have a feeling this war will last longer.

One thing that I hope will happen is that Al Queada won't regroup, and that the war will end and we will have peace and no one will have to die because of them anymore.

It's such a weird feeling. Usually when someone dies, you're supposed to feel bad for them... but when that person is the most wanted man in the world, what are you supposed to do?
Anyway, hopefully that's a step toward the end of this war and finally some peace.
