A Tutorial for Changing the Background from a Sprite?

I'm looking for tutorials that show people how to change the background when a sprite touches a color or another sprite.  The question of how to do that comes up in the forum and on projects a lot and I'd like to have a nice tutorial project I can point people towards. 

Please leave me a link if you have one or know of one.  Thanks!

Well, isn't it quite simple to make that tutorial.  I'm sure an advanced programmer like yourself can do that!
