I'm tired of hearing that people quit and they complain because (I'm just using you guys as an example) "[removed] didn't compliment my stuff!" or "[removed] said I was lame!"
Seriously, Scratch newbies. Get over it. Not everyone on Scratch is nice and although you may not like it, they won't get banned because you flagged their comment.
No offense to anyone at this point, but some people can't take a punch.
Discuss.
EDIT: [removed] is an example.
[ It's definitely not okay to single out Scratchers as an example of this sort of thing. Please don't do so in the future. - fullmoon ]

Yes. I agree. especially on the edit. Scratch has lots of noobs, and sometimes I just can't resist throwing a punch at that cra-er, poop.

Yes. In that way Scratch is like real life. Although I bet they wouldn't entirely react the same way if it was....

And they are whiny, spoil---nice, kind people, who don't like criticism.
Honestly, people need to grow up at some point, and face the fact that not everyone thinks you are all awesome/powerful/master/[insert something else here].

Precisely. It's annoying especially when you're just expressing your opinion.

People can leave if they want to. Scratch is supposed to be a site for everyone, so naturally there are going to be some younger kids here too. Younger kids can't always make the best projects, and they can't always respond well to things they perceive as mean. So it makes sense that they would want to leave.
This place isn't meant for sarcastic or cutting comments, so people shouldn't be giving them. Kids that didn't come here for sarcasm or rudeness, which is why some of them explode every time someone says something they don't want to hear. Some things aren't even that bad though, and they just overreact. That usually is the case, actually. Some people are trying to offer friendly criticism to help improve, but they just view it as "Oh this person is trying to say my project is bad so I'll flag them.. No wait, I'll write up a mean reply first and then flag it."
In real life, of course, they're going to have to learn how to properly deal with people they can't necessarily get along with, but Scratch isn't real life.
Instead of saying "Deal with it.", it shouldn't be happening in the first place

...What. The. Heck.
You even said that it was cool. They shouldn't call you a "STOOOPOID POOP!" if you called thier project cool.

i hate critisism, but im not gonna quit cuz somebody says "ive seen better"

Every website, and real life itself has "people who aren't that nice". Just do the website a favor and flag/report those comments.

Constructive criticism (not the "OMG TIS PROJET SUX" kind of one, but the elaborate kind of comments that point out what's wrong and how you might fix it) actually helps you improve.

Well the "not so nice" people almost never leave constructive comments.

TV, we are not naming mean people. All you need to do is stay away from them, and give them internets.

I do agree that some users overreact to criticism, but often times they're younger users and you can't blame them. But what actually bothers me is when people in the forums are rude for the most trivial or unimportant reasons.
