You might like watching it, and that is your choice. I would never watch it, and I don't see why anyone outside of the UK would/should care about it either. But what really bugs me is that the news (in the US) thinks that the Royal Wedding is more important than covering the damage from the 150+ tornadoes that killed 120+ people down here in the Southeast US (but that might be biased, since I live in Alabama). No offence is meant to anyone, just what is on my mind.
I'm british - you guys may know this.
Even i think the coverage here is daft.
700 People dispatched by the BBC ALONE to cover it..

There's a royal wedding wedding going on? Wow, I have been out of the loop for a while, and I still watch the news most every day.

Reminds me when someone tried to shoot Beyoncé Knowles (or someone like that), and she got a bruise on her head, and they talked all about it, but no one mentioned the guy who actually got shot and died that day. At the same time, no one mentioned the Nashville floods either.

My God, you people actually care if someone you don't know marries someone else you don't know?

Consider this: I'm from the UK, I'm proud of my country, the two people getting married are the most famous people in Europe right now and they are 2nd in line for the throne of the biggest Monarchy in the world. Plus we get a day off because of the majorness of it all.
And anyway, that's a cold hearted and twisted thing to say just because you don't know them. I'd care for someone getting married. I wouldn't pay much attention to them, but I wouldn't automatically be uncaring towards them. "Good on you" is what I usually think.

When I said 'care' I didn't mean that, I meant be interested by a lot.
And why does it matter if they're in the line for the throne? It's not like the King/Queen does anything. I am British by the way.

The Monarchy does alot, actually. The parliament governs, the Queen rules. She has the more power than any commonwealth. She's on our stamps, she's on our mail service. She tests our goods, she commisions anything the government puts forward. She's our icon, if you like.
What I'm trying to say is I feel we should be proud. Yeah, we don't have to be interested, but it's an event that will change the face of Britain's Monarchy. And I'm glad you don't mean your IDC comment that way.

Yes, but in my opinion thats all she is. An icon. She really has no commanding power. More of a fancy tradition that the people want kept alive

I feed them sandwiches XD
I think it was sweet. If you're cold enough to say that you don't care and they don't matter, maybe you should find out more about the Royal Family. Without the Queen we wouldn't have any rules put into action.
They're STILL covering it on the BBC at 9 o'clock?!

And being 14 isn't a requirement for an understanding of romance -.-
It was sweet, but it didn't look like there was that much of a CONNECTION between them both at the altar...

Nice!
When they were talking/singing (i had to leave for school when the boy's choir was just about done singing), this is what was going through my mind:
"Mawidge...mawidge is what bwings us togewer today... Mawidge, the bwessed awwangement, that dweam wiffim a dweam... ... Ven wuv, twoo wuv, wiw fowwow you fowever.."

I woke up at 4 a.m. to squawking cheers and load classical music roaring downstairs.
Well, turns out my two sisters and my dad had left the house somehow when I was sleeping, and my mom was throwing a 'celebration' party with the neighborhood housewives.
Good thing my test was postponed today.
