My last resort was to use Hamachi, but it worked! Here's the Hamachi network ID stuff:

Hay did you setup your router to redirect incoming port 25565 traffic to your server?(192.168.1.103)
If you didn't then people are trying to connect to your router and not to your sever.
My site Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

BTW i'm on a netbook, I'm using Cisco linksys from my mac.
How do I do it if I can't do anything to my router? My parents won't let me.

If you cannot redirect traffic then only those on your local network can access it.
Firstly you need to give the server a static local IP. Once you have done that (It can be done from the server itself) log in to the router. You can use your local router IP address or your routers internet IP address. Get your parents to find something about port redirecting. Create a new record with the port number and local server IP.
Enjoy.

I just port forwarded the server on my new computer which doesn't have Hamachi. So the meeting IS today, we have to see if the server works!
Online mode is on. I have the full game that I bought now, so let's see if it works.
EDIT: It was hosted all last night and is still being hosted on my computer.

It was bought on Easter. That was last week.
... It won't work! I port forwarded and everything! And don't use Hamachi for it.

It works now! I just finished port forwarding. Silverninja and Disobediantpants took my TNT and made a huge pig spawner cube. Then... I took it back and blew it up.

The connection times out on both IPs. That usually indicated severe lag.
