I only want this to be a discussion, please don't get mad at me if my facts are wrong or whatever.
When I joined Scratch 4 years ago I wasn't particularly active in the community, but I remember a smaller, closer community. Scratch has grown a lot since I've been gone, (I left after 6 months and rejoined a few weeks ago) which is a good thing, but now its harder to get recognized for what you may have worked really hard for. I just want to say this to all you new people, though I might not really be in a position to talk myself, don't give up. If no one looks at your program, don't worry, work hard, get good at sractch, help people, and have fun!
No success happens instantly, every great man in history started at the bottom and worked his way up, if you make something great it will be noticed over time, a tree may take years to grow properly before you get fruit from it! Just keep on scratchin'!

I happen to agree with you.
I joined last year and didn't leave.

I joined about 3-4 years ago, and left about 1 year ago. I stopped using Scratch, and lost all my projects due to a file accident. I know what it's like. Anyway, just keep at it and you'll be able to work your way up the society.
