You know how Scratch 2.0 is going to be in Flash, and run .swf (Small Web Format, and uneditable Flash file) files? Well, I think that Scratch should release Scratch 2.0 as an editable .fla (editable flash) file, so that everyone can add blocks to it if they have Adoble Flash CS4 or whatever.
What do you think, Scratch Team? After all, Scratch is Open Source. I think.

I recently read somewhere that they'll release the source too...

Great idea!
One problem:
Scratch will have to completely convert all the code in .sb files to .fla. They would have to make sure that each block has its flash conversion.
Acually, no, he wants the program to be in .fla, which they edit Scratch 2.0 in, and it would open the projects in the same way, just with more features.

The flash player is separate from the project files so that isn't the case. And the player probably wasn't made with Adobe flash CS#, but instead with something like flashdevelop to make a .as file.

Just an ActionScript file? Unless it is stamping all of the block vector by vector, you would need a .swf file for the graphics, I am sure.
