Minecraft is a computer game which you have to pay for. It is a 3D game where you are in an infinite randomly-generated world with hills, waterfalls, seas etc.
I made this big long speech about what it is but I can't be bothered to find it. I think it was in a topic about whether someone should get minecraft or Potal 2.

Minecraft is quite a fun game, it requires a small knowledge of how to play it before you can start. At the moment its discounted because its not finished yet, unlimited updates, so if your going to get Minecraft, get it early rather than later.
I highly recommend it.

Portal, though I've never played, just watched a couple of gameplay videos to see what its like, is a game where you start off as a test subject in a place called Appeture Labortatories (spelling?), you do a load of experiments of varying difficulty, but what gives Portal its flare, what makes it different, is the Portal gun, it allows you to fire blue and orange portals are walls, they can be used for any number of things, from going from place to the other, to redirecting a deadly laser.
Don't ask me about the story line, 'cause I've never played it myself.
