Is there a way to use broadcasts in IF, REPEAT UNTIL statements?

So, I have my sprite and I get it to start a REPEAT UNTIL when it receives a broadcast. But I would like it to stop when it receives another broadcast. I have not found a way to do this and I have had to use a true/false variable instead. Is there a way?

True/false variable is the only way I am afraid.

^ If that is not what you mean by a true false variable, it may help
