Do you think the Scratch Team should devlope a webcam interaction feature in the next Scratch release? This is how I think it would work.
There would be new blocks for the webcam, such as:
Enable webcam
Disable webcam
If touching [left eye, right eye, nose, mouth, right ear, left ear, right hand, left hand, ect.]
Go to [left eye, right eye, nose, mouth, right ear, left ear, right hand, left hand, ect.]
If left eye open
if right eye open
If teeth showing
Change () webcam effect to ()
Thats all I can think of. Lets hear some creative new blocks that contribute to a webcam feature
from you!

that is impossible

That sounds like a cool feature...but I wouldn't look for it anytime soon. Here's why: what you have described is a vision system that can recognize human facial geometry. While such systems have been developed, they tend to be very large and compute intensive and probably wouldn't fit in Scratch.
Maybe I'm wrong...I hope so

I think it is about facial measurement, but I heard about other MIT's project that uses camera and orange gloves to locate hands..... Maybe just offline implementation would be good? Because Applet Java wouldn't handle this I think...

Or it would sense movement, you could wave you hand and if it hit an enemy, the enemy would go flying or something. If you had a TV in the background, it wouldn't be detected because it is still.

I like that idea.

But back on topic, the problem there is that a lot of people don't have a webcam to begin with, and facial recognition would be great and all, but it's sort of unrealistic for a small java applet.

Yah, but not to many people have a Scratch Board but they have it. Same with MicroPhones.

They made something like this for other games, like TrackIR, but's just about the movement of your head. This interesting Joystiq article shows some cool things with a First Person Shooter.
