Ideas:

Big tower, taller than the current one-to be used as observatory/place to take a screenshot to show people how wonderful scratchville is.

Starter kit: a room with a whole bunch of invedited chests filled with some things to start with:
64 wood, 16 torches, (the problem with starting with me was that when I was looking for coal, I had no torches!) um... 1-2 iron, 64 cobblestone

Mailboxes: to deliver things to people, or something like that

MINECART mailboxes: to deliver things to people easier (to be made by an advanced redstone circuitry person, make different routes controlled in one place)

Chests near mine for extra cobblestone/dirt/sand to be used for later things

As you can see I made coal cheaper since it's way too common.    Also would make for easier currency trading since 1 iron = 2 coal.

to spell a verb (future tense), and spelled and spelt are the past tense, and spelling is the present tense.
