So flightbird could have an ability that either makes it flee(wild pokemon) or switch with another pokemon(battles)? Interesting. I'm not sure how fightbird would work, though, as the player really doesn't have HP! Maybe its ability is to disobey the trainer if certain requirements are met?

Well, yeah, what I meant by 'Attacks the player' is actually 'Disobey' the player.
I guess to what you said about Flightbird, but I actually meant that it could flee, not only in Wild Pokemon battles.

I think some sort of Canine would be a good addition to the game, seeing as there are an abundance of cats and small fuzzy woodland critters and rodents, and there's quite a lack of dogs.
Maybe a St. Bernard type thing with the barrel around it's neck during avalanches?
An aggressive dog, German Sheperd-like, maybe Pitbull?
Then again, we can't go wrong with just a wolf.

Mhmm, the Mountain dog would definitely be part ice.
Dark type for the Pitbull is also a good choice, I must say.
Hmm, how about an Eevee-esque dog that evolves into a bunch of different dogs?

Well these aren't just going to look like photos of dogs, they need to be pokemonified, so it can be more creative. It could have a purple patch of fur on its back, and maybe glowing or swirly eyes to signify good eyesight? It could also have an eye on its tail.
