The Easter Vigil

WARNING BEFORE YOU GO AND TYPE NO RELIGIOUS TOPICS READ THIS. THIS IS AN SUGGESTION FOR ANYONE IN THE CHRISTIAN FAITH WHO WISHES TO LEARN ABOUT THE EASTER VIGIL. SO IF YOUR NOT DO NOT CONTINUE TO READ. I WANT TO HAVE A NICE DISCUSSION ABOUT IT WITH THOSE WHO HAVE GONE. THANK YOU.

What it is: Since in the early church Sunday was at sundown. I went to the Easter Vigil 2 times in a row and let me tell you it is just a wonderful experience. On this night (the night before easter) we all have candles that are lit. you read gospels and then at about an hour in the lights come on. then it officially Easter in the church. You sing, you pray and you lean a great deal about the faith. New people are also baptized, receive Jesus and are confirmed. Then after that it is just a normal mass, at like 10:30 at night.

I recommend going so very much to anyone in the faith. It is as beautiful as as night could get. You listen and become engulfed in love from God. It is a sight to see and is brilliant.

Have you ever gone to the Easter Vigil?

Re: The Easter Vigil

It sounds like it's a great experience. I wish I could've gone, but I'm not even sure my church has one.
