Re: Hey, I have a question to ask you Scratchers....

I try to report any projects I find, but it's not that many.  I think the main problem is the definition of inappropriate.  What does it include?  Because, if a scratcher has never read that section, most of the time they're basing it off their own opinion, which differs from the scratch guidelines.  I think it needs to be cleaer exactly what the mods want us flagging and what to do about grey area posts/projects/comments.

Also, I don't report signatures that are between 150 to 200 pixels because I think they're still acceptable.

I use it for obviously inappropriate material, or for things in the wrong section. however, I don't usually feel confident enough in labeling things as flamebait.

Re: Hey, I have a question to ask you Scratchers....

Whenever I see something copied or innapropriate, I usually flag it. I'm a busy girl, so sometimes all I have time for is to go on scratch, see if I have any messages, and make a few quick posts. I have not been making scratch projects lately, as I am piled up with bunches of homework and going places. I also have little time to look at scratch projects, and most of them(animation, art) I don't want to watch anyway.

BTW, Its really rare for you to post in misc.  tongue  (other than "closing" posts)

Re: Hey, I have a question to ask you Scratchers....

I use the report button sometimes, but the thing is with me I don't know what topics are "bad" enough to report, so I kind of hold back.... hmm  I usually report something when I want my own topic to be closed XD

I use it whenever it's needed to be used. The guide I use to how it should be used is on the Scratch Wiki.

Re: Hey, I have a question to ask you Scratchers....

As it's been said, some people may be affraid to press "Report." Also, some people have different tolerance levels to what they consider "appropriate" and may not exactly follow the guildlines given. Maybe when someone signs up for a Scratch account, in the e-mail they get (do they get one? i forget) maybe the "Report" could be explained.

Maybe people need examples of what the ST and Mods consider "inapropriate" for the site.

I've only seen something that needs to be reported once. I reported it.

Re: Hey, I have a question to ask you Scratchers....

TL;DR but I got the central point and question.
I usually stay away from the Report button unless I have to report something, mostly due to the "certain reasons to report" rule that probably could get people banned.

BTW, just to point this out...a failure in your grammar:

Re: Hey, I have a question to ask you Scratchers....

Sometimes I'm not entirely sure if it's "worth" reporting. One of those things where I'm not sure if it's totally necessary, and I figure a mod will come along soon enough and if it's a big enough deal to require attention, they'll change it. Maybe I'm afraid to annoy someone by reporting something that didn't need reporting.  tongue

You know, there's a difference between sarcasm and being rude. You can be downright mean at times. Seriously, lighten up.  tongue

I report things that:

Re: Hey, I have a question to ask you Scratchers....

Sometimes, if a popular project gets flagged, the creator and the people who comment are all like: "Why did that n00b flag the project???" and stuff like that.  hmm
