Anyway, i only started to use it after i found out you could.  I didn't know you could until last year

It means it was worthless, stupid, not appropriate, o otherwise just failed.

I try to report any projects I find, but it's not that many.  I think the main problem is the definition of inappropriate.  What does it include?  Because, if a scratcher has never read that section, most of the time they're basing it off their own opinion, which differs from the scratch guidelines.  I think it needs to be cleaer exactly what the mods want us flagging and what to do about grey area posts/projects/comments.

I dont report posts often but I report comments that are rude and stuffs

I use it for obviously inappropriate material, or for things in the wrong section. however, I don't usually feel confident enough in labeling things as flamebait.

I use the report button sometimes, but the thing is with me I don't know what topics are "bad" enough to report, so I kind of hold back....   I usually report something when I want my own topic to be closed XD

I use it only if it is inappropriate. Usually for projects, and for comments.

Well, i do try to flag material when i find it inappropriate

I use it whenever I feel like something requires a mod's attention. I don't really feel much of a reason to hold back usually.

I've only seen something that needs to be reported once. I reported it.

TL;DR but I got the central point and question.
I usually stay away from the Report button unless I have to report something, mostly due to the "certain reasons to report" rule that probably could get people banned.

You know, there's a difference between sarcasm and being rude. You can be downright mean at times. Seriously, lighten up. 

Sometimes, if a popular project gets flagged, the creator and the people who comment are all like: "Why did that n00b flag the project???" and stuff like that.
