Really? There's already a gazillion geezers making topics about this! We don't need another one!
I'm not saying some idiots have not made their way in here, and I'm not saying there aren't people that I miss, but quit the whining. Scratch has become a huge community. There will always be several bad apples in a bucket of hundreds of thousands. Apples are the Scratchers, and Scratch is the bucket.
If you don't like the site, then no one is forcing you to use it. The Scratch Team isn't putting a gun up to your head and saying "Go on Scratch". I am all for freedom of speech, so go ahead and share your opinion, but some people are trying to enjoy a geezer-free website, so at least move somewhere else.

Atomic Brawn
I'm not sure how to respond to that...really, what in the world could that mean? Brawn on the atomic level? I'm stumped. Oh well, back on topic with you all, and forget I ever mentioned it.

The thing is, did we predict it, or did we just assume it was going to happen so much that we made it happen?

yeah i say we predicted it and it's everyone's fault but ours.
not being racist just saying we are of a higher level of importance.

Well, I don't don't see much of the "Cool Story Bro" spam or the "Steve" spam anymore... however, I do see a lot of "objection" spam everywhere.
I did notice that flagging inappropriate material is becoming less and less frequent - or rather it's being done at later and later times, sometimes weeks after the original post has been made. It's hard to catch stuff right away, especially when there's multiple other issues to attend to at the moment.

is why we need more forum mods?
Actually, it's not the issue of more mods (in fact, there's going to be no election in the spring for more forum mods), it more on the fact that users need to be encouraged to hit the report button to get a mod's attention.
It's been a growing problem on both the main site and the forums, and when a mod isn't alerted right away, things have a tendency to be missed or not taken care of right away.
Although... I think it might also be a case of people being too dependent on certain mods to do things - there have been cases where people have come up to me to do something (or blamed me for not taking care of something right away despite the fact that I'm not on the website 24/7) when all that can be done is for someone to hit the report button and another moderator can look into the issue.

Oh yeah, Cocoanut! He was awesome. I don't really spam do I? I like to think I at least partially represent the old days, seeing as I singed up before 2010 and I try to only post when I actually have something to say.
I've never seen you spam or act "cool" so you're okay.
Who's acting?

I remember that prediction. Us '07-'09ers know what were talking about. And truthfully, I have not yet reported a single post. I will try to be more helpfull from now on.
scratch is going to end in 2014.

How would you know? Not to be rude.
with the rate of scratchers signing up and the amount of scratchers already signed up, there will be too many scratchers.the only way for scratch to stay alive is for shifts of scratchers. your '08-'09 shift will end around 2014 while mine will end in 2016.

I wonder how true the "not reporting" issue is with the current Scratch population. (Moreso, I would like to know why this is the case nowadays

Hey, people. Not everyone who joined after a certain date or whatever isn't bad or something. I started Scratching in late 2008, but only made an account in early 2010. Does this mean I'm less important than someone who joined in 2007, 2008, or 2009? And does it mean I'm more important than "puppetadventurer" because his account was created a year after mine?

no, it depends on the quality of your projects.

I wasn't intending it that way, although I guess I could have been more polite. Sorry if I offended anyone. This is completely unfair, but as I remember it it was less spammy in '09.

Heck, I wasn't even on the forums until like late 2010. Though, of what I've heard, it probably was much better. I'm not offended, I just want to make sure you know that you can't generalise people in groups by join date, because that's just ridiculous.
And @TVflea: I make tests and other random stuffs. If someone looked just at my projects, they'd thing that I'm incoherent and nonsensical. Not that I'm not.

A couple come back now and then but then they realise it's all noob-filled so they leave again.
