We have a HUGE storm going through right now with tornados and high window and golfball sized hail. A tornado went right through where my cousins live and they can't get back to see if there house is okay. Houses a street over are just completely gone!
The airport here is also severly damaged. The windows that usually look out on the planes have been destroyed and the roof in parts has been torn up!
Please pray for the St. Louis area right now, and Missouri/Illinois as well.

Our internet just went down for a bit.
Hope their house is okay! That must be scary for them, why are they there and why can't they get home.

Good Friday church service. I was too and we had to have it in the basement. The power cut out at least 8 times.

London has ALOT of tornados - but most are harmless and you can stand in them (it feels epic, trust me)
England has more tornados than anywhere else in the world - but they are mostly smaller than a room.
The worst i have seen done by one in london is a leaf thrown a meter.

If you don't have a home, doesn't that mean your teacher can't give you homework.

geez, we sure are lucky like, nothing happens in minnesota
except we have tornadoes and flooding occasionally that takes a few houses by the shore but that's rare
my mom grew up with earthquakes, creepy

Their house is ok!! Bu they have 5 or 6 neighbors houses that are just torn to shreds...we knew another family who nearly got hit and there are downed powerlines all around their house. However, if I heard correctly, there were no deaths and not that many injuries. It came at a good time if such a thing is possible, after rush hour was over.

No, no, no! Seriously, I've seen a WAY more hardcore English tornado than that! Once, I was walking through Bath, and a STICK FELL OFF A BRANCH. It was so radical.

Your guys' tornados sound like gusts of wind around here. A tornado in the states is defined as: A tornado is a violently rotating column of air extending between, and in contact with, a cloud and the surface of the earth.
Tornadoes are generally spawned by thunderstorms, though they have been known to occur without the presence of lightning. The stronger tornadoes attain an awe-inspiring intensity, with wind speeds that exceed 200 mph and in extreme cases may approach 300 mph.
Tornado wind speeds are estimated after the fact based on the damage they produce. Tornadoes are categorized on a scale of 0 (weakest) to 5 (strongest) according to the Enhanced Fujita Scale.
The United States has the highest incidence of tornadoes worldwide, with more than 1,000 occurring every year. This is due to the unique geography that brings together polar air from Canada, tropical air from the Gulf of Mexico, and dry air from the Southwest to clash in the middle of the country, producing thunderstorms and the tornadoes they spawn.
Tornadoes can come one at a time, or in clusters, and they can vary greatly in length, width, direction of travel, and speed. They can leave a path 50 yards wide or over a mile wide. They may touch down for only a matter of seconds, or remain in contact with the ground for over an hour.
And if you didn't see it: The UNITED STATES has the highest incidence of tornadoes worldwide, not London.
