A Few Poems By Me

Quickly?
quickly!
quickly!
quickly!
not very slow!
actually rather fast!
because it goes!
quickly!
quickly!
quickly!
or does it?

Morbidly
Morbidly the funeral starts
Morbidly the preacher preaches
Morbidly the body lay

Morbidly the war goes on
Morbidly the soldiers fight
Morbidly the bloodshed spray

Morbidly he sits
Morbidly he lays there
Morbidly obese

SQM
Softly he creeps
Softly he stalks
Softly he flies into the night
Quietly he creeps
Quietly he stalks
Quietly he flies into the night
Softly creeping
Quietly stalking
Mysteriously lurking

Critiques? They were made for a lesson about adverbs at class, lol.

Re: A Few Poems By Me

Great.  smile
Not as serious as I make mine, but very good nonetheless.

A quick poem from me.

A prize to whoever can figure out the meaning of this.

The debt is payed.
She is now resting
After three long years
Of cancer testing
Carefully buried
The Teenage girl
So innocent
Ripped from her so young world
The stones were placed
Across her grave
A wishing well
That the Power would save
A darkest night
Just came around
With only the wind
To make any sound
But then some supernatural force
Picked up the stones
From the home of the corpse
And placed the rocks
On the ground
So course
Can the next ones coming
Ever be saved
From the power of death
From beyond the grave?

I think it was more about the unfairness of life being taken away from some so quickly for no apparent reason, I think the illness was a minor detail.

Nice poem, soup.

That's part of it, but not what I was really getting at.
I think Jewish people have a better chance of getting it.

Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say. I never want to let you down or have you go, it's better off this way.

What were you getting at? I thought it was, like Kiley said, the unfairness of life and how innocent people suffer.

Basically, a tradition in Jewish and Christian traditions is to put small stones on the top of grave stones when somebody passes away as a 'good luck' in the afterlife if you will.
But the stones blew away because the girl did not love God, unknown to her parents.

So this poem comes down to that teenagers have 'more important things to do' then think about God, whether that even be questioning if he is real.

Re: A Few Poems By Me

Not amazing, but better then that one kid who read his Martin Luther King Jr. poem in chapel.

He rhymed 1929 with 39. =P
