Guess what time it is!
Time to finally release SIMPL-DOS 0.4 "American Glory"!
It is a totally different type of update. Instead of working on new programs, we added a login system, along with a admin system to keep pesky siblings from messing up your computer with stuff like the File Deleter! (The admin system is currently only effecting the file deleter.)

I'm working on a new version of SIMPL-DOS: version 0.4.5. This new version includes:
- BugTracker: a command to show the SIMPL-DOS changelog (Done)
- The OTHBOS command fix adds the command that has been missing from SIMPL (Done)
- A way to bypass the Admin/Logon systems (Done)
- An Admin System plugin that lets you password-protect specific commands
- A bugfix for the TXTED command (Done)
- You can now type commands in LOWERCASE!!!! (Done)
- A command to completely reset SIMPL-DOS, logon stuff and all
- More easter eggs
- Various bugfixes and enhancements (Done)
SIMPL-DOS 0.4.5 will be released tomorrow or so. Enjoy it soon!

Norton is a virus. There was this lady who had Norton 05 and it made her PC very slow. It called everything a virus, even the ntoskrnl.exe (Windows NT kenel) file! I installed Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and it detected Norton as a virus and wiped it right off the drive. After that, the PC was 800% faster. I got $5 out of it. True story.

I have an announcement!
I have started development on a Python-based version of SIMPL, called SIMPY-DOS. It will (eventually) have all the features of batch SIMPL, and some new features that are not possible in batch.
It will take a while before SIMPY-DOS is released, because I have just started learning Python. Expect it May.
Also, does anyone know how to get a file to Symantec/Norton for them to inspect it? I haven't found a way yet.
EDIT: Great. Soft319 (my younger brother) has decided to make a version of his batch OS, Cyber-DOS, in Python. He is a copycat, isn't he? Yes, I know he announced his Python port first, but I was the one who got the idea to port SIMPL, and he copied me.

Guess what! Just a few days ago I released SIMPL-DOS 0.42!
This update to SIMPL-DOS has everything promised in the 0.4.5 release minus the password protect commands thing. You can bypass the logon prompts and even view the SIMPL-DOS changelog. Also, I've finally added the long wanted lowercase support! Get it now!

I have started development on a interpreted programming language (specifically, a port of BASIC) for SIMPL 0.38+. For now, it is called SIMPLy BASIC, but that sounds cheesy.
So, I am holding a contest for the name. Just post your entry here, and we will pick the best name. Winner gets a preview of the next version of SIMPL!
