I have some doubts related to the use of some of the original Scratch media content and so in a new Scratch mod.
I've read the license and I know one can't use the Scratch logo or the default Scratch sprite cat in a mod, but what about the other content in Media and locale folder of original Scratch distribution?
So the question is: can I copy everything but the logo/cat from inside the Scratch Media folder to the Media folder of my own mod? And what about the locale and Help folders?

I just noticed that BYOB uses everything from the original Scratch Media and Help folders, so there must be no problem. However the same doesn't happen with locale.
Nevertheless I would like to be enlightened on this whole situation.

Most Scratch Modifications don't include the the Media folder as far as I know, because often the main Scratch program is installed which has the Media folder. The locale folder is just many different languages for use in Scratch, I believe that can be used but I'm not exactly sure.

If you don't want to worry about the license, you can modify the regular Scratch download, and the license technically doesn't apply to that, so you can violate the license as much as you want
. That's what I do.

There is a license that applies to the main program. Open the Scratch Program Folder and open license.txt.

BYOB includes and it has the same contents except the default Scratch cat. Panther also has the Media folder with the same subfolders (Backgrounds, Costumes, Sounds), but those are empty.
Is there anyone from BYOB or Panther or even Scratch team available to share their knowledge on this subject?
