Importing all GIF frames?

I keep reading on the forums that *somehow* it's possible to import an animated GIF into a sprite with each frame a different costume. But it doesn't matter what I do, every animated GIF I try to import only imports the first frame. It happens on both Mac and PC to me. Am I just unlucky enough to get a bad version of scratch both times I downloaded it? Or am I supposed to do something special to get it to import? I've even tried importing GIFs other people have gotten it to work on, and no luck.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Re: Importing all GIF frames?

You need to import them as costumes. Don't import a sprite, import a costume.

Re: Importing all GIF frames?

That's odd... I tried importing an animated GIF of a globe using costume imports and it worked fine.
