Hey, gbear, do you think you could (if it's not too much trouble) look on minutor or some other cartographer, to find a good cave-free area underground? I'm not sure if it's not legit enough but it's not like we'd be using it for looking for minerals. It's up to you entirely though.

I worked out that to dig out a 40 x 40 x 10-sized area (assuming it's entirely stone, very unlikely) would take 2.222... hours with diamond picks on your own. (I say that assuming you'll have gaps of 0.2 seconds between each block-breaking.)
