Pokemon FlamingRed/OceanBlue

Pokemon BurningOrange & DEVELOPMENT ON HOLD
Pokemon FlamingOrange / OceanSky is a new Pokemon hack I'm working on!  It will be based off Firered/leafgreen and will have NEW maps, NEW pokemon, and will be awesome  big_smile

So, anyone want to make new pokemon?

Re: Pokemon FlamingRed/OceanBlue

Mabye you might want to change the name, since there already is a red and blue. Maybe burning orange and something else? I like the burning orange idea.  smile  I could make some sprites, (though im not that good) and provide ideas. They should make a section for pokemon hacks.

Re: Pokemon FlamingRed/OceanBlue

I think a certain someone started a fad....

In any case, not really. I can offer advice, like make one version, not two. Focus on making the one really good, then head off into making tweaks and adjustments to a copy of it for another version. Also, a good story rules above all. If you have a story, you can map out the region, focusing on making maps that fit around the story. Then you can consequently work on the events. Fakémon really don't matter one way or another, but having a good legend in mind may help to also define the rest of the gameplay elements. Also learning Rubicon and finding a copy of XSE wouldn't hurt.

Yeah. I'm done now.

Pretty Hate Machine, Broken, Closer To God, The Downward Spiral, Further Down The Spiral, The Perfect Drug, The Fragile, And All That Could Have Been, With Teeth, Year Zero, Y34RZ3R0R3M1X3D, Ghosts I-IV, The Slip, Pretty Hate Machine 2010

If you could find ROM hacking software that works on Linux, I'll help.

Re: Pokemon FlamingRed/OceanBlue

Advanced Map does run, so I can assist with mapping. YAPE does not appear to.

Edit: Scratch that, graphics are messed up.

Re: Pokemon FlamingRed/OceanBlue

I suggest changing the names because Nintendo holds the trademark for FireRed and WaterBlue.

Umm, at the time for a handheld game, yes. Unless you're not being sarcastic.
