Yep - as long as you stay active around the forums and the main site, it shouldn't be too long until you become a Scratcher

Thanks I needed that information too!

I there a particular post count needed to become a scratcher. I thought it was 100 but it's not

Hey PokemonMeteorite, there's no specific post count to turn into a Scratcher (some people have even turned into Scratchers with only a handful of posts); turning into a Scratcher depends on activity on both the main site and the forums. Just keep active on botht eh main site and the forums and you'll turn into a Scratcher soon enough. 

I actually already said that, but same thing. Anywways, I turned into a Scratcher with only like 20 or 30 odd posts!

I think that kayybee meant that the answer to the question "how many days did you wait?" will not be helpful in this case since the length of time from New Scratch status to Scratcher status varies in each case.

@Bell4Cow: If you're looking for a ballpark number of how long it might take, I've seen some users who gain the status within a few weeks, some within a few months - usually those who have been active on the main site previously before visiting the forums usually have a better chance of becoming a New Scratcher more quickly than those who visit the forums without having uploaded projects at all. I can see you're active on the main site, which is good; so just keep active on the forums, and you'll turn into a Scratcher shortly.

Usually many of the New Scratchers coming to the site are of the younger age group - sometimes it doesn't hurt to repeat things again to reinforce what was stated earlier as confirmation of what goes on in the site. 

I post on the forums every day, and I'm still a new scratcher.

Ahh, but did you forget to check out other Scratchers' projects, commenting?    That will boost your activity and chances in being a Scratcher faster. Good luck!

I recommend you to just follow a sequence...
1.) Comment (well).
2.) Possibly fave or love-it
3.) Make a gallery.
4.) Add projects into gallery.
5.) Post on forums.
6.) Comment and view Scratcher's project again.
7.) Make friends.
8.) Fave or love-it on different project.
9.) Comment again.
10.) Post on forums again! 
11.) Reply to messages.
12.) etc. etc.

...and so on! There you have it, a possibly guide to what you can do to be more active. Hope this helps!!
