Scratch doesn't slow down my Vista computer (nor my XP computer, and not even my ME computer), unless I am importing/painting lary numbers of costumes, like for stop-motion animations. Are you perhaps using many imported sounds/songs costumes/backgrounds?

nope. It has 72 scripts tho. Could that be the problem? I have no sounds/songs(except for the default), only the white background, the most a sprite has is 1 costume. Also, there are 35 sprites. Is that too many?
