Very true about that era I guess...lol....but when did I say that? I don't care if I get 100 views in an hour. Where'd you get that from?
I think you said that like 4 months ago so you were probably just in a bad mood, lol.

Probably, but I've definitley changed from that -_- lol, but I hate it when some of my stuff gets negative comments cuz its 'keeping good games off the front page'. I can't argue against it, but it all comes full circle. It's the fans fault.

You know, what's funny is that right now I'm helping JIM1324 with a project, and with his huge publicity it might get front page (I've seen him get ridiculous stuff up before). Does this mean I've gone over to the dark side?
JIM likes to use your projects as bases because he doesn't have programming talent

But he is creating an app so that does take talent

Scratch talent.

Oh well. I guess it's like tides or something. Games, then Art, Then Animation, Then Games, Then Art, Then blah blah blah
But games always seem to get the short end of the stick.
We're the Neap Tide I guess.

Yea It was good but then people wanted me to start a collab so I did that and then it was just a hassle to make because i have to reformat everyone's articles so i stopped.

I think I put a lot of effort into my projects, but they barely even get viewed. I make advertisements and post in the Show and Tell forums, but no one looks at them.
Some people get (lots of) credit for making short little animations, while I work my butt off on Photoshop making graphics for :x: (In case people are wondering, :x: is here). SpriteMaster, I have nothing against you, but I think one of the main reasons people like animation so much is that they don't have to do anything. They just sit back and watch.

I'm sort upset wuth the front page projects, mainly the third rows. (yes, wuth)
The bottom row gets taken up by projects that are 1000 times worse than you think they are. Has a very attractive first menu and stuff. But the rest just goes downhill from there. Also, there are projects: "I'm quitting", "the best idea ever" (which was an idea that everyone on the forums knew would never be implemented, but all the main-siters just think will definitely happen. I'm talking about Scratch Pro, jtlyk)
The second-to-bottom row gets taken by the semi-good projects. Sometimes there's excellent games like the ones by jackt, etc. (jackt's not the only one) but sometimes try to get taken over by a giant, fail "LOL". Otherwise, it's mostly just 7 second animations that have a black screen with text and a weird song at the end. Also, moving mouths, and poor programming.
The third-to-bottom row is not the best, but I guess you can't argue with it. Scratch is about remixing, so you kinda just have to let it be that way... I wish it was more taken over by projects like "Level 1", where you add a new level for each remix, or the one by Lightnin' with the cool pen designs, but no. It just has to be those "add yourself running", "add yourself doing nothing" projects.
The other rows are kinda fine. The curator row is only very rarely not up-to-standards, with just art that most people ignore, or things by people that have been on the front page too much, or a project that put in no work. Most of the time, it's fine. I should know.
The featured row is fine. Approved by the Scratch Team.
The SDS row is okay, I guess, since it's constantly changing and gives people a boost of views.
There's my quick, lengthy rant about the front page.

Couldn't agree more.

Pfft, black screen endings don't make anything worse! Moving mouths? What's wrong with trying to lip-sync?

Its interesting how opinions vary about the front page projects from their comments section to the forums. On the comments its always like 'this is the best project ever!' while on the forums its more like 'oh, another crummy animation'.

That's because most topsiders are too naive to realize they aren't all that great.
