I'm on a Mac and four times in the last week it's given me messages saying that there's a kernel panic and I need to restart the computer. It was kinda scary the first time, since the screen went dark and stuff.
Anywhoo, anybody know what a kernel panic is and what causes it?

Kidding, for information, Wikipedia is your friend (it's actually more reliable than your teachers would have you believe). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kernel_panic

You mean the online Brittanica? I wouldn't consider that the best source of info to be honest. Still, Wikipedia is relatively accurate. Just don't use it for research.

One of my friends said he went on there and made it say Abraham Lincoln was killed by a jelly doughnut. He also said it was changed pretty immediately.
