Subscribe to a Thread
I think an important feature that must be added to the Scratch Forums is a "Subscribe" button. Once you click it while on a thread, you will get messages saying: (Scratcher name here) has replied to your forum thread, (Forum Thread name here). This could be really helpful if you need constant reminders on something like a request shop, a question you need to get answered, a suggestion you want fast feedback on(Like this one! 
), or if you just want to track a forums progress.

Support here! This is a great idea. I cannot tell you how nice it would be to know if I have any replies as soon as I log on. In addition to this, I'd love to get notifications if someone quotes me. (In any thread) That might be a little harder since quotes are just BBCode, but I'm sure it's possible.

That'd be pretty difficult for the ST; as far as I know, the main site and the forums are based on different programs (that's why you can't check messages from the forums).
So I don't think that's feasible 
But, you never know

The creators of punBB or fluxBB decide that option in the next version of the software.

1. No, subscribe to a thread comes with FluxBB (that is what the scratch forums uses and I use) scratch just disabled it.

Yes it very annoying having to look through the your posts feature.
My site Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.
