Well a study shows that those who play video games respond less harshly to nightmares.
Ill put into my own words. In a nightmare you normal want to do something but you cant, like your running but you want to go faster but your feet wont move. The reason you are more tolerable to nightmares if you play video games is simple but hard to understand. You have more experience in virtual reality than non video gamers. The simplest way to put this is in Lucid and nonlucid dreamers. Lucid dreamers are aware that they are dreaming and understand that when you wake up you will be unharmed. Non lucid dreamers do not understand that this is not real. Lucid dreamers can alter the dream in a way that they find it amusing instead of scary. Lucid dreams can also switch for 1st person to 3rd person. With this ability the dreamer can watch the event rather than be the person who is running. There is one catch, constant video gamers have more nightmares.
What do you think of this?

I barely even have dreams, which is kinda sad.
The last Nightmare I had was a while ago. I could speed up and slow down time, but I couldn't do anything else, and I couldn't really altar it. Maybe minecraft will help me with my dream editing...

I don't play video games and I don't get nightmares. Except about the wiki- that someone else made the edit I wanted to. XD

I'd love to have a lucid dream. It would be like Inception!

i'm not seeing things(even though your sig says i am).
your sig must be a gif. though that doesn't explain why it only changes when i go to different forum posts.....
i've only had nightmares of this clown

I'm a nonlucid dreamer yet sometimes I see things in 3rd person. I can't switch between the two though. Weird.
Those are some interesting facts. I think gamers can also cope with nightmares like running but being unable to move because they are used to game restrictions (like in some games how you can't go a certain way because there's an invisible wall).
