Scratch

Here are some basic 'types' of Scratch Projects:

Game - A project that interacts with the user in order to reach a goal
Animation - A project that displays a series of images and/or sound.
Art - A project that displays a piece of art
Music - A project that sounds music as it's sole purpose.
Tutorial - A project that shows how something works.
Test - A project that tests something to see if it works.
Preview - A project that lets you know of an upcoming project or event.
Remixer - A project that is created for the purpose of remixing.
Advertiser - A project that advertises another project or event.
I'm Quitting - A project that announces that someone is quitting.

There are probably more - if I have missed one, please let me know.
P.S. I wasn't sure what forum to post this in, but I figured this might be helpful to new scratchers.
